Verdi Cancer and Research Center of Texas is excited to welcome its newest physician, Dr. H. Alejandro Preti. Dr. Preti has over 20 years of educator, consulting, and clinical research experience in oncological care. His unique expertise and shared philosophies will help enhance the greater medical community in Dallas, Texas.
After completing two Internal Medicine residencies and a Fellowship in Medical Oncology, Dr. Preti held various roles including Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Lymphoma at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center and Medical Director of their International Patient Center.
Dr. Preti also created and chaired the Lymphoma-Myeloma Tumor Board at Houston Methodist Hospital where he gained clinical research experience and served on various Boards for Lymphoma, Thoracic, and Gastrointestinal cancer. His clinical expertise led him to become Medical Director for the M8NW Oncology Inpatient Unit at The Methodist Hospital in Houston.
Dr. Preti is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. He has received many honorable awards throughout his career including being named one of the Best Doctors in America in 2007-2008 and again in 2011-2012. Dr. Preti is also a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of both the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
Dr. Preti is a father of three. In his free time, he enjoys cooking and playing the piano. He is an amateur astronomer, an avid tennis player, and kiteboards when the wind is favorable.
